SYSTEMS
EVS transition to virtual machines

STATUS:We need to have a decision about how to handle PROD VM server not being ready at the moment.

We were going to wait to switch STAGE from on prem to VM once PROD server is ready; so we can switch both PROD and STAGE at same time . 

So how do we handle the OS conversion then? Do we push for PROD VM to be made? Wait to build the VM after we convert STAGE and then PROD to Oracle Linux 7?

  • DECIDED: conversion first, then transition to VMs
  • we are probably a ways from PROD VM; STAGE VM saw issues pop up during transition

OS Updates

11 machines were converted today. We are in the process of testing them.

Jason highly recommended looking at CTS2 (high priority).

Statistics Dashboard

OBJECTIVE 
Complete Migration of Statistics Dashboard from SumoLogic to DataDog by March 2024.

STATUS

  • S3 bucket has been created, but is blocked by next step of installing a Datadog / AWS integration. 

ACTIONS

  •  Benson, Mark (NIH/NCI) [C] to create S3 bucket - under 'EVSTOOLS'
    •  will need additional work to install Datadog / AWS integration. working with Cyrus and Systems.
