The 3.0.4 workstation is an AIM 3.0 implementation. It allows workstation users to create and view AIM instances based on the AIM 3.0 information model. The workstation can import AIM templates, a collection of questions and possible answers to each question, to guide users of the workstation to enter in a structured manner. More information is in the AIM Template Builder User’s User's Guide.

The AIM model enhances interoperability and information exchange between imaging and health information systems. You can query annotations stored in a computable model such as AIM not only to find images containing similar image content, but also to correlate human image observations with other biomedical data.
