NBIA includes an initial iteration of a DICOM API. You can use a DICOM client such as K-PACS to access the API. Only public collections are available via the API. The API includes two methods (C-FIND and C-GET) with the following restrictions:
C-FIND
- Returns data at the study level
- Can search on PatientName, PatientID, StudyInstanceUID and StudyDescription
- Requires the inputting of some level of search criteria
- C-MOVE
- Retrieves images found from C-FIND based on StudyInstanceUID and SeriesInstanceUID
- Assumes receiving SCP port of 104 the default DICOM port
The AE Title for a server running NBIA is always NBIA
