To prepare a trial record:

  1. Register the trial in CTRP. For information and instructions, refer to Getting Started with Registration in the NCI CTRP Registration User's Guide.

To receive accrual data, the trial must have your affiliated organization as a participating site, and that site must have an open status in the CTRP trial record.

    Open statuses include the following:
    • Active
    • Available
    • Enrolling by Invitation
    • Temporarily Closed to Accrual
    • Temporarily Closed to Accrual and Intervention
    • Temporarily Not Available

  2. Wait for the trial to be fully abstracted. This work is done by the CTRO.

  3. If the CTRO requests more information about the trial, respond in a timely manner.
