You must have a username and password to use the web application. Additionally, you must have special permission to run the reports. For assistance, contact us at ctrp_support@nih.gov.

  1. Visit https://trials.nci.nih.gov/strap. The login page appears. Specify your user name (email address) and password. Click Sign In. Follow the prompts to complete 2-step verification. The Admin Dashboard appears, with information about trials.

  2. To configure all of the charts globally, click Settings. The global settings panel appears. All fields are optional. The following table provides instructions for each field:

    FieldInstructions
    Global DiseaseSpecify a disease name.
    Global Trial StatusSelect one or more trial statuses. For information, refer to Trial Status Values in the CTRP and ClinicalTrials.gov.
    Global Study SourceSelect one or more study sources. For information, refer to CTRP Trial Categories (Study Sources).

    Specify a trial type.

  3. For the Trials By Location chart, you have various options:
    • You can expand the chart. To do so for the Trials By Location chart, click the Expand icon for that chart.

    • You can lock the chart from global changes. To do so for the Trials By Location chart, click the Lock icon for that chart.

    • You can specify a different disease, zip code, or search radius. To do so, click the chart's Settings icon. The chart settings panel appears. In the relevant field, specify a new value and click Update Chart.

    • You can select table view or detailed information. To do so, click the Table View or Detailed Information icon. When viewing detailed information, to browse the previous or next location, click the arrow icon in the upper left or right corners of the chart.

  4. For each of the other charts, you have various options:

    • You can expand the chart. To do so for an individual chart, click the Expand icon for that chart.

    • You can lock the chart from global changes. To do so for an individual chart, click the Lock icon for that chart.

    • You can specify a different disease. To do so for an individual chart, click the Settings icon for that chart. The chart settings panel appears. In the Disease field, specify a disease name and click Update Chart.

    • You can export the chart data as a CSV file. To do so for an individual chart, click the Export Chart as CSV icon for that chart.
