This page tree describes how to upload data (collections, files, and metadata) to DME using the web application (GUI). As you register each item, keep in mind the following points:

- When you upload data in bulk, the system applies your metadata to the entire bulk upload, not to individual files. (What are the pros & cons of uploading a single file versus uploading in bulk?)
