The following table describes how to remove the investigation or various parts of the investigation. 

PartTo Remove
InvestigationIn the Node panel, right click the investigation node and select Remove investigation.
StudyIn the Node panel, right click the study node and select Remove study.
AssayIn the Node panel, right click the assay node and select Remove assay.
Element groupIn the Element panel, click the X to the right of the element group heading.
ElementIn the Element panel, click the X to the right of the element field. (If the system requires the element, the X is not available.)
ProcessIn the Visualization panel, click Delete Process.
Process stepIn the Visualization panel, click the X next to the process step icon.
