Retrospective

Liked (smile)

  • List anything that went well in this sprint including shout out to others that went out of their way to help (add your name after your comment)
  • The ability to modify the News page using the static content repo in GitHub (Kuffel, Gina (NIH/NCI) [C] )
  • The designs for multi-file select for JBrowse is really coming together, thanks Stogsdill, Hannah (NIH/NCI) [C] (Kuffel, Gina (NIH/NCI) [C] )
  • The initial implementation of the Data Availability Landscape within the application's two study listings was really nicely done. Some related bugs to get fixed, but the data matrix looks to be well worth our investment of time and effort (Musk, Philip (NIH/NCI) [C])

Disliked (sad)

  • List anything that we could have done better in this sprint (add your name after your comment)
  • CORS policy issue still not resolved on prod so JBrowse can't fetch files if using Safari or FireFox (Kuffel, Gina (NIH/NCI) [C] )
  • Ditto on the above - stumbling into an error that I thought had been addressed during a data submission call wasn't the best look (Musk, Philip (NIH/NCI) [C]

Learned(lightbulb)

  • List anything you learned about in this sprint (add your name after your comment)
  • Understanding the availability and versioning of the canFam genomes (Kuffel, Gina (NIH/NCI) [C] )
  • Create NPM package (Rana, Ambar (NIH/NCI) [C] )
  • That it's surprisingly easy to errantly commit changes to the model definition files directly to the model's remote master branch, and really quite tricky to revert them out and get them into a branch off of the develop branch. Thanks Jensen, Mark (NIH/NCI) [C] for sorting out the mess. Will NOT be making that mistake a second time (Musk, Philip (NIH/NCI) [C]
