Retrospective
Something our team did well is...
- List anything that went well in this sprint including shout out to others that went out of their way to help (add your name after your comment or feel free to keep it anonymous)
- Great documentation is now available for the Data Loader thanks to Miller, Eric (NIH/NCI) [C] (Kuffel, Gina (NIH/NCI) [C] ) (Rana, Ambar (NIH/NCI) [C] Udosen, Toyo (NIH/NCI) [C] )
- I thought that the team worked well together to understand and troubleshoot the issues with the Clinical Data Export (Kuffel, Gina (NIH/NCI) [C] ).
- Thanks to Kuffel, Gina (NIH/NCI) [C] for helping to revise/improve the Data Loader documentation and running through the process. I had forgotten/overlooked some key parts. (Miller, Eric (NIH/NCI) [C])
- Thanks to Musk, Philip (NIH/NCI) [C] for the continued help with the Study File counts debacle. I learn new things about the data model each time we discuss it. (Miller, Eric (NIH/NCI) [C])
Something that I think we need to improve for next time is...
- List anything that we could have done better in this sprint (these comments can be anonymous)
- As a team, so all of us, including myself, should not be afraid to ask questions that may help us to better understand the use case or the technology or the data. We should always do our best to help each other no matter what. At the end of the day we succeed or fail together (Kuffel, Gina (NIH/NCI) [C]).
- If we can get more advanced notice for changed meeting times (more than 24 hour notice if possible and realistic) and more careful consideration for meeting overlaps, that would be helpful. (Stogsdill, Hannah (NIH/NCI) [C] )
Something I learned about during this sprint is...
Through the task of reviewing the Data Loader Tutorial I learned how to set up Neo4J and OpenSearch on my local machine and then load study data (OSA03) (Kuffel, Gina (NIH/NCI) [C] )
- Learned more about the export file feature and Data Model while testing
PRECINCT01
study Clinical Data (Epishina, Valentina (NIH/NCI) [C]
Actions
- Kuffel, Gina (NIH/NCI) [C] to create at task in order to bundle web fonts with our application.
- Better catalog/documentation of system changes, ie. a DevOps log
- Always reschedule standup meetings
- Be sure to update test cases if and when requirements evolve
- DevOps leads should sign off on new microservice designs
- Create an external service to cache data from external APIs (Performance Caching)
- Mukherjee, Amit (NIH/NCI) [C] to create a DevOps task to implement performance caching and polling/reporting of outages to Slack or email.
- Demos will only be on QA or Dev (QA being the preferred environment) moving forward.
