Question: I deployed caArray in Eclipse but got an exception when I tested caArray. Why?

Details about the Question

I deployed caArray in Eclipse and tried to test the program. When I clicked on the "Manage array design", I got exceptions. The first part of the exceptions was like these:

Answer

This type of the exception could be caused by an empty caArray schema. The user should verify if the caArray schema has been setup properly by:

  1. Opening the caArray database to see if the tables have been installed.
  2. Querying a known caArray table in MySQL Client: 
    SELECT * FROM category

If the schema is indeed empty, it can be reinstalled via the steps below:

  1. Shut down the caArray JBoss server.
  2. Run the following ant command from the software/build folder: 
    ant database:reinitialize
  3. Restart caArray JBoss
