The Adaptavist Footnotes Plugin provides a pair of macros: footnote and display-footnotes, to insert a footnote marker and to display the list of footnotes at the bottom of the page.
The following is an example of a footnote. Only the footnote marker appears here. 1 To enter a footnote

- When the macro browser opens select Footnote Macro.
- Enter the footnote in the text box of the macro.
The Display Footnotes macro follows all the rest of the text on this page, so that the complete list of footnotes will be displayed at the bottom of the page.
To use the Display Footnotes macro
- Type {fo
- When the macro browser opens select Display Footnotes,
When you select the footnote marker, the corresponding footnote is highlighted in the display of footnotes. To return to the content of the page, select the marker within the footnote display. Click the mouse in the text to stop the flashing of the footnote marker.
Note
There may be a delay between entering a footnote and being able to view it in a document.
