If the following criteria are all true, you can upload one or more files from an AWS S3 bucket to a dataset in MoDaC:
- You have a user account with upload permission.
- You are member of a group that has access to that dataset (or you created that dataset).
- You have read access to an AWS S3 bucket.
When you upload data, you become the owner of that data. (Ownership cannot be changed.)
- Log in, as described in Logging In.
- Click Upload in the header. The upload page appears.
- Navigate to the dataset:
- Select an existing program or add a new one.
- Select an existing study or add a new one.
- Select an existing dataset or add a new one.
For instructions, refer to Adding a Collection.
- Click Upload Data. Select Transfer from S3.
- Specify the following information:
- The name of the source S3 bucket.
- The path to and the name of the folder in the source bucket.
- The AWS access key.
- The AWS secret access key.
- The region.
- Click Upload. The system transfers the data based on your selections.
- When the system displays the task ID, consider viewing the status of the upload. For instructions, refer to Viewing Download or Upload Status.
