If you have a user account with upload permission, you can add a collection (such as a program, study, or data set).
- Log in, as described in Logging In.
- Click Uploads. The upload page appears.
- Navigate to the collection in which you want to create a new collection. In the next field, click the Add New option. (For example, to add a new data set, select an existing program from the program list, select an existing study from the study list, and then select Add New Data Set.) A registration dialog box appears.
- Specify the information for the new item:
- Specify metadata permissions, as described in Managing Group Access While Creating a Collection.
- To add a metadata attribute, click the Add Metadata option. A blank attribute row appears. Specify a unique attribute name.
- If you do not want the public to have access to the data, clear the Is public access checkbox and specify one or more groups.
- Specify a value for each required metadata attribute.
- Click Register.
