Any user can access publicly available data via search, on a desktop or mobile device.

1. Open a supported browser: 

   • Chrome
   • Firefox 
   • Safari (mobile only)

2. Navigate to the following portal:

   http://modac.cancer.gov/ 

   The home page appears. 

3. Perform one or more of the following options:

   To do this ...	Do this ...
   To view all search results	On desktop: Click

   Search in the header.

   the search icon (Image Added) or click Search in the header.  On mobile: Tap the search icon and then tap Submit. The Search page appears with the first page of all results.

   Perform one or more of the following options:

   To search by keyword

   :

   In the Search MoDaC field, type a keyword.

    Click the search icon (Image Removed) or press <Enter>

   Click the search icon. The Search page appears with the first page of all matching results.

4. On a mobile device, to view the search filters, tap Back to Search Filters.
5. To narrow results in the Search page: In the Filters panel, select one or more filters.
   • For some examples: 
     • To display only the models in which you can generate predictions, select Yes under Is Model Deployed. 
     • To display all datasets that are not reference datasets, select No under Is Reference Dataset.

   • If a category has a long list of filters:

     To

     expand the list:

     View the full list	Click # More Items.

     To collapse

     View less of the list

     Click Less.

     To search

     Search for filters

     by keyword

     within a category

     Click the

     magnifying glass icon

     search icon next to the category name. In the search box that appears, start typing.

   • To clear all filters: click Clear All.

   The system lists all matching results. For details, refer to Using Search Results. 

   • You can perform the following actions in the Filters panel:

     To do this ...	Do this ...
     Collapse all search filters	Click the Collapse All Filters icon (Image Added).
     Expand all search filters	Click the Expand All Filters icon (Image Added).
     Clear all search filters	Click the Clear Filters icon (Image Added).

If you log in on a desktop device, you can also access data you have uploaded and data associated with an access group to which you belong. Additional options If you would like to search for data you can edit, you can do so after login. Additional results may also be available to you after login.
