  1. Log in as described in Logging In - 2021-06-04. The home page appears, with objects you have specified as favorites in the Favorites panel (if any). 

  2. Select Manage > Manage Data. The Manage Data page appears. 

  3. Select Download Collection. The Download Collection page appears. 

  4. Enter your User ID into “Created By” to search for your collections
  5. Click “Apply Filter”

    Results will be displayed, sorted by Date/Time Last Requested (Sprint 19) Last Trigger Date (Sprint 18) by default so that the most recently requested collection is on top. Columns can be sorted by clicking on them to show choices: Ascending, Descending or New Sort.

  6. Click to edit the newly created collection and it will open

  7. Click on the download collection name at the top of the tree e.g. “Denise Test Steps For Demo” to return to the Download Header and the system will display the Download Collection Command
  8. Click Download Collection Command >> Request Download Generation

    The system updates the Last Triggered Date (Sprint 18) or the Date/Time Last Requested (Sprint 19)

  9. When the system has generated your ALS, it will attach it to your Collection where you can click on it to download and it look like this:
  10. In the Created By field, enter your user ID. Click Apply Filter. The system displays all collections you have created. 

  11. Click the edit icon for the collection you want to modify. A tree view and information panel appear. 

  12. Select Download Collection Command > Request Download Generation. The system updates the Date/Time Last Requested for the current collection. After the system generates your ALS, the system attaches your ALS to your collection. 

  13. Click the ALS to download it. Save the file to your computer. Consider

    Check the email account you specified in the Recipient Email(s) in your Collection. The email should contain the following text:

    *Please note that this text is being modified to add more information based on user feedback, such as whether PV or PVM was selected for the generated file userDataString. The Filename will have “ASL _PV” or “ALS_PVM”  appended before the collection name.

    Sprint 18 email text:

    “This is your requested RAVE ALS collection from caDSR, sent to you by [userid who generated the file] on [system date].

    This file is designed to be saved to your computer and then imported directly into RAVE using Architect Loader.

    Hint: If you are having trouble saving this file to a folder on your computer, you can save it to the computer "Desktop", and then try shortening the file name or saving it to a folder on your computer with a shorter short folder path.

  14. If you have any issues with loading the file into your RAVE system, please contact the person who sent you the file or the NCI Applications Support desk at NCIAppSupport@nih.gov.”

    Sprint 19 email text:   

    “This is your requested RAVE ALS collection download sent to you by DWARZEL on 2021-10-05 11:42:21.

    Collection Name: Jira-1207-Test Form 3919983 VD 3 times QA-1167

    Collection ID: 1167

    Component Type: Form

    RAVE User Data String: PVM.

    This file is designed to be saved to your computer and then imported directly into RAVE using Architect Loader.

    Hint: If you are having trouble saving this file to a folder on your computer, try shortening the file name or saving it to the computer "Desktop", or saving it to a folder on your computer with a shorter folder path

    specified an address in the Recipient Email field for your collection, check the inbox for that email address. The email message contains the collection name, collection ID, component type, and the RAVE user data string (PV or PVM).
