Streamlined the other feature in Characterization by adding the Characterization Name options, other_pc, other_vt, other_vv, and other_ex_vv based on the Characterization Type. If you select one of the new options, you can select an Assay Type of any existing non-standard assay type or you can select other to create a new Assay Type.
