If you have a user account with upload permission, you can add a collection (such as a program, study, or data set).  

  1. Log in, as described in Logging In
  2. Click Uploads. The upload page appears. 
  3. Navigate to the collection in which you want to create a new collection. In the next field, click the Add New option. (For example, to add a new data set, select an existing program from the program list, select an existing study from the study list, and then select Add New Data Set.) A registration dialog box appears. 
  4. Specify the information for the new item:
    • Specify metadata permissions, as described in Managing Group Access While Creating a Collection
    • To add a metadata attribute, click the Add Metadata option. A blank attribute row appears. Specify a unique attribute name.
    • Specify a value for each required metadata attribute. If you want the public to have access to the data, leave the access_group field empty.  
  5. Click Register
