If the following criteria are all true, you can upload one or more files from Google Drive to a dataset in MoDaC: 

  • You have a user account with upload permission. 
  • You are member of a group that has permission to edit that dataset (or you created that dataset). 
  • You have a Google account. 

When you upload data, you become the owner of that data. (Ownership cannot be changed.) 

  1. Log in, as described in Logging In
  2. Click Upload in the header. The upload page appears.
  3. Navigate to the dataset:
    1. Select an existing program or add a new one. 
    2. Select an existing study or add a new one. 
    3. Select an existing dataset or add a new one.

    For instructions, refer to Adding a Collection.

  4. Click Upload Data. Select Transfer from Google Drive > Select Data from Google Drive
  5. Select Google Drive.
  6. Click Authorize MoDaC to Access Your Google Drive. A Google page appears. Follow the prompts. The MoDaC Register Bulk Data page reappears, indicating the successful generation of an access token. 
  7. Click Select Data from Google Drive. The Select Files or Folder dialog box appears.
  8. Navigate to and select the folder in which you want to transfer the data. Click Select. The MoDaC Register Bulk Data page reappears, with information about your Google Drive selection below the Select Data from Google Drive link.
  9. Click Upload. The system transfers the data based on your selections. 
  10. When the system displays the task ID, consider viewing the status of the upload. For instructions, refer to Viewing Download or Upload Status
