If you are looking for a Space that corresponds to a topic, be sure to see if there is a broader topic encompassing yours that has a Space. For example, NCICB products are all contained in the Spaces for the product lines (CORE, CTMS, ICR, Imaging and TBPT).

If you can not find a Space that could contain your topic, or you want to hide all of the pages you will be working on and those pages cover a variety of topics which are all related to the same broad topic, you will need a Space.

Send a request to NCICB Application Support (ncicb@pop.nci.nih.gov) to ask that a Space and the LDAP Groups that can see and work in that Space be created. You need a USER Group (adds content) and a DEVELOPER Group (adds and removes content and can restrict page editing).

Name your Space for your organization and your team or project, and name your Groups for your team.

Note: Most frequently users will work in existing Spaces. If you need to hide your pages from people who are not working on them, or restrict editing to a limited group of people, you can create a "wiki home page" in an existing Space, restrict viewing and editing (while you are on the Edit tab), and create "child pages" which will have the same restrictions on viewing and editing. You will need to have the LDAP Groups created to which you want to restrict editing and viewing of your pages.
