If you have a MoDaC user account, you can download the metadata for one or more files in an asset, to your local system.
- Log in, as described in Logging In.
- Search for the data of interest, as described in Finding Data.
- In the search results, click the link for the asset of interest. The Asset Details page appears.
- If the asset has subfolders, navigate to the file of interest. (Click each folder to open it.)
- Select one or more files:
- To download the metadata of one file, click the download metadata icon in that row.
- To select all files at the asset level, select the Batch Select checkbox. (To deselect one file, click the checkbox in that row.) Click Download Selected Metadata.
A message appears, asking whether you want to include parent metadata in the download.
- Click Yes or No. The Save As dialog box for your operating system appears.
- Save the file. The resulting XLS file contains all metadata (system and user) for the selected files.
