Be sure to keep your wiki session active

When you are editing a page, be sure to keep your wiki session active. If you have edited for half an hour or more and done nothing else, navigate to the wiki dashboard (http://wiki,nci.nih,gov) and log in again before saving your work. Otherwise, you'll be prompted to log in again, and your work will be lost.

Changes in navigation functionality August 2013

After the weekend of August 17, if you are not logged in and you navigate directly to a restricted page in a public wiki, you will be prompted to log in as usual. However, after you log in, the wiki home page will open. It will be necessary to navigate to the restricted page again.

Requirements

You must not merge cells in tables. Merged table cells are not Section 508 compliant. You must enter meaningful information in each cell, as blank cells are not Section 508 compliant. Repeat data in each cell to which it applies. Indicate "none" or "not applicable" where appropriate.

Alt text must be included for every image posted on the wiki. In addition describe the important aspects of the image in the text.

A link to a disclaimer must be included for every link posted to a site external to the US Government. In Confluence 4.2, the disclaimers may be added only in the XHTML editor.

Wiki Use, Duplication of Content, Links to Wiki Pages

Using the Wiki

The goal of the wiki is to allow users to collaborate on developing documents and information. The architecture of the wiki is designed to make finding information easy, and is revised continually. Users are responsible for the accuracy of the information posted and for verification of information that they use. You can contribute content if you have an account (to request one, click the New Account link at the top of the page).

Important Notes

  • Do not copy the content of a wiki page to another wiki page. Include or link to the content.
  • Use the title of the page or the Tiny Link (not the URL displayed by the browser). The Tiny Link is a permanent link. It will continue to work if the page title is changed. Links made using the page title change when the page title is changed.
  • No labels
