Labels help keep related pages together, for reference by the page owners and to help other users of the site. This page includes the following topics:

Add a label to a page

  • Using the Labels option that follows the editing window, enter the label or labels.
  • Select Done.

You can enter any text you want for a label. To separate words, use the underline character, for example: separate_words. Labels are all lowercase.

Remove a label

  • Select the link to edit the label.
  • Select the link or icon to remove the label.

Add a category label for a wiki space

If you have the needed permissions, you can add a category label to a space. If you do not have these permissions (are unable to see the links described in these steps), and want a space label, ask an administrator.

  • Select Browse > Space Admin.
  • Select Space Categories.
  • In the Labels area, type the label and select Add, or select a label.

The Categories tab on the dashboard displays a list of recently updated pages in spaces with a particular category label.

Display a list of content with a particular label

  • Search for the label; the matching label, if any, will be shown on the search results page.
  • If you are in a page that has a label or labels, select a label to view a list of content with that label.
  • Use the Content by Label macro to display a list of content having a particular label.
    • Type {cont and when the list of macros opens select Content by Label.
    • Complete the parameters and select Insert.

An example follows, listing the pages that have the label "finding_information."

Browse Labels to display lists of available labels and content with those labels

  • Select Browse > Labels to view a "tag cloud" listing the labels in the wiki space. The most used labels are indicated.
  • Select global popular labels to view a list of labels in use on the entire site with the most used labels indicated.
  • Select a label to list all content with that label.
