You can add a "child page" for content that is related to the content of a page, but more specific. In Confluence, each page is the child page of another. Even the "wiki home page" of a Space is the child page of the "Space root" visible at Browse > Pages > Tree.

  • To add a child page (to create a page), select Create at the top of any page.
  • Select the location for the new page.
  • Select a Confluence template (blueprint) or a site template if desired. You can also select Blog post to create an entry in the blog for the wiki space.
  • When the editing window opens, type your content just as you would in Microsoft Word.
  • When you are finished select Save.

The tip on editing pages has more information about entering content.

It is good practice to include the page title at heading level 1 at the beginning of each page. To do this, type

h1.

Then type:

{page

and Select Page Information Macro. Specify the title as the information to display.

When you save the page, the title appears at the top of the editing window as well as in the title field.
