The following are caNanoLab 2.3.6 changes.

  • Added the % dose per g tissue unit for pharmacokinetics, biodistribution, and tumor accumulation assays.
  • For composition, when you save/update a composing entity, caNanoLab now consistently displays the amount(s) saved. Previously, you may only have seen amount(s) when editing the entity but not after saving/updating.

The following are caNanoLab 2.3.5.1 changes.

  • Updated the NCI CBIIT Application Support email to NCIAppSupport@nih.gov. This is effective 09/18/2018.
  • Improved the layout of the Point of Contact form, so the name information is at the beginning of the form instead of the end.

The following are caNanoLab 2.3.5 changes.

  • Removed and updated options within drop down menus. For more information, see the caNanoLab 2.3.5 release notes.

  • Restyled tab section headers to be consistent with the Characterization and Composition areas.

The following are caNanoLab 2.3.4 changes.

  • Added a Cell Line field to In Vitro Characterization, Targeting Properties. For example, search for a sample based on Characterization Type, in vitro characterization and Characterization, targeting. Edit the sample and display the Characterization. Targeting Properties, Cell Line is now available.

  • If caNanoLab is inactive for 25 minutes, a warning appears that you will be logged off in five minutes. If you do not click OK within five minutes, you are logged off. If you click OK, you remain logged in for another 30 minutes. The warning does not display if you are actively clicking links (not just scrolling on a page).

  • Streamlined the other feature on the Characterization tabs by adding the following Characterization Name options: 

    • Select other to create a new Assay Type.
    • Select other_pc, other_vt, other_vv, and other_ex_vv, which is available based on Characterization type, to select an an existing, non-standard assay type.
  • If you include an extra line between text in the Characterizations, Design and Methods Description, the line separation is preserved when you save or update the characterization.

Support Changes

Password Changes

New functionality (as of October 4, 2023) enables the user to set and reset their own password. Updated (as of February 7, 2024) to send a final warning two days before account/password expiration.

  • As a new caNanoLab user, when registering for your account, you will receive a link to set your password.
  • If you forget your password, you’ll be able to reset it yourself by going to User Actions->Reset Password.
  • New passwords cannot be the same as your previous six passwords.
  • The system requires you to reset your password every 120 days and sends a reminder message 10 days before each expiration date. A final warning will be sent two days before the account/password expires.
  • Any user with no email address registered in the system will now have their account disabled. They need to email caNanoLab-Support@ISB-CGC.org to reactivate the account and provide the email address that they want associated with their account.
