Fixed Bugs
This caNanoLab release has fixed edit sample characterization bugs and user interface bugs due to the Angular update. The following table lists and describes additional bug fixes.
Add a better error message for an invalid username or password For sample search (particularly Characterization), fixed some issues with samples not being found, or too many brought back. For search results, add link Details in Action column. When the user clicks on it, they will get an edit or a view page, depending on their access. For users who are not logged in, provide a way to view publication and protocol. When a new user registers for an account, the link sent to them to set their password will be available for 48 hours (instead of 2 hours). Known Issues and Workarounds
The following table lists and describes how to work around the following remaining issues in caNanoLab.Known Issue Workaround Issue ID Removed public results links from the home page. These links will return at a future date. On the home page, in the Browse caNanoLab panel, click Search Protocols, Search Samples, or Search Publications. For details, refer to Managing Protocols in caNanoLab, Managing Samples in caNanoLab, and Managing Publications in caNanoLab. 43 Running a few very large searches in a row will exhaust local browser memory. This causes the final search attempt to silently hang. Close all browser tabs and start a new session with caNanoLab. 85 Export of a large set of search results can fail due to timeout. Narrow the search. 104 Accurately display superscript and subscript. If you paste text into an input field, review it before submitting the text to the system. Make sure the formatting (such as superscript, subscript, bold, and Italics), Greek letters, and other special characters appear as expected. For details, refer to Correcting Special Text. 298 Saving and submitting very large CSV tables into the database can take as long as several minutes for each step.
