You can now export the following sample information to JSON and XML format. You can export an individual sample when you view or edit the sample or from the Navigation Tree on the General Information tab. You can also export one or more samples to JSON and XML from the sample search results.

The following is the caNanoLab 2.3.7 improvement.

  • To simplify the process of adding data to caNanoLab, you can now import tables of data from, for example, Microsoft Excel, into the Findings section of assay data entry.
    1. Edit a Sample.
    2. Select the Characterization menu, and add/edit a characterization.

    3. Add/Edit a Finding, and click Import csv to add data from a file.

    4. Click Save.

The following are caNanoLab 2.3.6 changes.

  • Added the % dose per g tissue unit for pharmacokinetics, biodistribution, and tumor accumulation assays.
  • For composition, when you save/update a composing entity, caNanoLab now consistently displays the amount(s) saved. Previously, you may only have seen amount(s) when editing the entity but not after saving/updating.

Platform Changes

Moved to deploy on the Google Cloud App Engine Flex system. This migration included many library upgrades.

When you add or edit contact information in a sample or publication, the following message appears:

Support Changes 

Updated the caNanoLab Application Support email address to caNanoLab-Support@ISB-CGC.org. This is effective August 10, 2022.

Password Changes

New functionality (as of October 4, 2023) enables the user to set and reset their own password. Updated (as of February 7, 2024) to send a final warning two days before account/password expiration.

  • As a new caNanoLab user, when registering for your account, you will receive a link to set your password.
  • If you forget your password, you’ll be able to reset it yourself by going to User Actions->Reset Password.
  • New passwords cannot be the same as your previous six passwords.
  • The system requires you to reset your password every 120 days and sends a reminder message 10 days before each expiration date. A final warning will be sent two days before the account/password expires.
  • Any user with no email address registered in the system will now have their account disabled. They need to email caNanoLab-Support@ISB-CGC.org to reactivate the account and provide the email address that they want associated with their account.
